Dan Strickford, Director of Public Relations, has more than 15 years of experience in the communications sector, developing and implementing award-winning B2B and B2C campaigns from technology and manufacturing to hospitality and nonprofits.
His PR career began in Los Angeles, where he worked at two top West Coast agencies for global consumer brands including Netflix, eBay, Neutrogena, Nintendo, AOL, Johnson & Johnson, and Mercedes-Benz USA.
Since joining Clean, Dan has grown the PR department capabilities. He is responsible for integrated communications program development, media relations, executive visibility programs, corporate reputation management, messaging and content creation, issues management, and social media strategy. A member of the leadership team, Dan also provides PR counsel to the CEO and department heads.
Dan’s campaign work has won regional and national recognition, including a SABRE Award national finalist, Bronze Anvil, InSpire Award, Sir Walter Raleigh Award, and James E. Burke Global PR Campaign of the Year.
In addition to industry mentoring, he serves as a board member and the public relations chair for the City of Raleigh Museum and provides counsel to the Holt Brothers Foundation. Dan was named “2017 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year” by the City of Raleigh in honor of his PR support of the City of Raleigh Museum.
